Three Dimensional Labyrinth

Definition: While the design of most three-dimensional labyrinths is invariably Classical, the paths of these labyrinths envelop a mound or hill, and are thus three rather than two dimensional. (Sometimes the boundaries between these labyrinths and earthworks become blurred.)

The paths of the three-dimensional Glastonbury Tor Labyrinth are created by terracing on both sides of this magnificent hill. Drawing by Kathy Jones.
