Regional Representatives Just joining an organization doesn’t mean you “belong.” You want to know what’s going on, who the other people are in your area and be included in the information loop. Sometimes that can take months. In TLS, we’ve made this process easy. The network of regional representatives is here to help give you that sense of belonging from day one.
Would you like to know about local or regional labyrinth events in your area, labyrinth locations or other TLS members and labyrinth enthusiasts? If so, the regional rep in your area is the first person to contact. A list of regional reps is provided in this section of the web site.
Becoming a Regional Rep Would you like to be a Labyrinth Society Regional Rep? It’s a great way to really be in the thick of things! The general responsibilities are listed below. Please contact the Regional Reps chairperson if you are interested in serving in this capacity. There is no limit to the number of reps we may have in any given region.
A regional rep should be prepared to:
- answer questions coming in from the web site or other members
- know where in TLS to get answers to questions, the most common being the location of labyrinths in the region
- collect and disseminate information about as many regional labyrinths as possible
- submit information for TLSnewsletter
- welcome new members
- encourage communication with all members and labyrinth enthusiasts in the region and share labyrinth related news/activities/issues through email, phone and TLS online forums
- encourage membership in TLS and participation in Energy Keepers, 365 Club, TLS Gatherings
- encourage use of and referrals to TLS website
- maintain up-to-date general membership data and email list for your region and help update the membership data base
- stimulate regional/local activities, get togethers, labyrinth tours, building of public labyrinths and labyrinth activities of every sort through suggestion, enthusiasm and encouragement on both the group and individual levels
- spend on average from one to three hours a month on regional rep responsibilities
