Who We Are

Ellen Schultz

Membership Chair

In November 2007 Ellen Schultz joined the board of TLS as Membership Chair but her relationship with the society began in 2001 when she attended her first Gathering in Atlanta. She was so favorably impressed with the work of the organization and the labyrinth enthusiasts who support TLS that she has attended every subsequent Gathering. She is a member of the Energy Keepers, the 365 Club, and the Minnesota Labyrinth Facilitator’s Network. In her community, she enjoys introducing others to the labyrinth and has facilitated labyrinth retreats through her church and community organizations.

Professionally, she is a professor of nursing at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, MN. She teaches a variety of nursing courses in both the undergraduate and graduate programs, focusing on nursing theory, holistic nursing, ethics, and leadership. In her holistic nursing course, she teaches students about the labyrinth as a means for mind-body-spirit healing of self as well as clients. She has also presented papers on the labyrinth as a holistic nursing intervention at national nursing conferences.
