Helen Curry

President, 1998-2003

Helen Post Curry, The Labyrinth Society’s first President, was introduced to labyrinths by The Rev. Dr. Lauren Artress in February 1993. She founded The Labyrinth Project of Connecticut, Inc. shortly thereafter and has taught walking meditation using labyrinths in England, Russia, Lithuania and all over the United States. As an ordained inter-faith minister she performs labyrinth weddings and other ceremonies,and has an on-going labyrinth ministry at Danbury Federal Prison. Her book, The Way of the Labyrinth, was published by Penguin Putnam in 2000.

In addition to her labyrinth work, Helen is a trustee of Vermont Academy and has a career in the fine home furnishings business, doing interior decorating and staging houses for resale both in California and on the East Coast through her company, Look LLC. She also works to promote and preserve work of her great-grandfather, the renowned architect, Cass Gilbert. She and her husband live in Connecticut and have three grown daughters.
