Who We Are

Mark Milligan

Energykeeper Chair

Mark Milligan first encountered the labyrinth in 1998 at a St. Louis retreat center. From that point on he has been actively working with and promoting the labyrinth as tool for harmony, peace, and a conduit to experiencing the Holy Mystery. He is an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ serving Zion UCC in Florissant, MO., which has a stone paver labyrinth that is surrounded by a mediation and prayer garden. Mark has written liturgies using the labyrinth, and has also created guided labyrinth walks for Christian holy days. Believing in the power of prayer and relationships he has developed many prayer chains for different groups so that members can support each other when needs arise. He is also a certified spiritual director.

Mark is currently completing work on his Doctor of Ministry degree, creating a template churches can follow to bring a labyrinth and labyrinth ministry to their congregations. His other interests include studying sacred geometry and quantum relationships of all creation. Mark is the father of three grown children and has been married for thirty five years to his wife Kathy, with whom he shares the love and mystery of the labyrinth.
