TLS Annual Gathering

Accommodations

Loyola University Retreat and Ecology Campus will be the location for our 2018 Annual Gathering. Located in rural Woodstock, Illinois, about 50 miles northwest of Chicago, the campus boasts 98 acres of prairie, woodlands, an oak savannah, ponds, and wetlands. The interior of the Retreat and Ecology Campus is just as inviting, featuring a dining room, meeting spaces, lounges, and multiple community spaces. This sanctuary of self-reflection provides a peaceful setting. Meals and lodging will be available onsite and included in the registration.

Loyola offers two comfortable housing options: hotel-style and dorm-style. All housing accommodations are fully furnished and include bed linens, pillows, blankets, towels/washcloths, and toiletries.

HOTEL-STYLE ROOMS
There are 50 contemporary rooms with two double beds, desk, dresser, private bath/ shower, and air conditioning. A limited number of these rooms will be offered as singles to early registrants.

DORM-STYLE ROOMS
Cost saving traditional dormitory-style rooms are also available for single or double occupancy. These rooms have two twin beds, desk, dresser, and shared shower/ bath facilities accessed from the hallway.

ADDITIONAL AREA HOTEL LODGING
Hotels are located in nearby Woodstock, Illinois, about  5 miles from the Gathering location.  Best Western Woodstock Inn, Quality Inn and Super 8 are all located in or near historic downtown Woodstock. Off-site commuters will need to arrange their own lodging and have their own transportation to and from the Loyola campus Gathering location.

ROOMMATE MATCHING
If you wish assistance with finding a roommate with whom you may share onsite accommodation at the Loyola campus, please complete the information request for roommate matching service during the online or mail-in registration process. This service will be available through September 15th. 

MEALS
Attendees will enjoy freshly prepared meals with a focus on local produce and sustainable food practices, The kitchen is managed by experienced chefs who create all meals from scratch, utilizing only locally sourced, fresh ingredients. They can accommodate a variety of special dietary restrictions including vegetarian, vegan, diabetic, gluten-free, lactose intolerant, and shellfish allergies.
