TLS Annual Gathering

Traveling Exhibit

Labyrinths of Peace 2000 image 1

The Labyrinth Society’s traveling exhibit, which has not been seen at a Gathering since 2004, was on display at this year’s Gathering in the main hall. This photo exhibit was originally part of Labyrinths for Peace: 2000 at the U.S. Capitol which was The Labyrinth Society's first sponsored project.

Sandra Wasko-Flood and Marilyn Larson directed the project which included the photo exhibit, displayed in the Cannon Rotunda of the U.S. House of Representatives, and a "demonstration for inner peace" on the East Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. Marty Cain, Joe Miguez, David Gallagher, and other artists and volunteers worked together with Sandra and Marilyn to provide temporary labyrinth installations and canvas labyrinths for all to walk.

Sandra has gifted the exhibit to TLS in remembrance of the first TLS project at this special moment of our 20th Anniversary Gathering.

If you participated in the original event or hosted the traveling exhibit, please consider adding your personal experience, names of participants, and photos to our documentation of the project. If you would like to contribute, please email Dee Clark, TLS Web Chair.
