Join Us in Celebrating the First Annual World Labyrinth Day - May 2, 2009!

Arising from a recommendation made by the Strategic Planning Team at the November TLS Board meeting, a committee of nineteen recently chose Saturday, May 2, 2009, as World Labyrinth Day.

World Labyrinth Day is intended as a day that brings people from all over the planet together in celebration of the labyrinth as a symbol, a tool, a passion, or a practice. WLD can be a day to inform and educate the public, host walks, build permanent and temporary labyrinths, make labyrinth art, or explore labyrinths in numerous other ways. If there are only right ways to walk a labyrinth, it follows that there are only right ways to celebrate World Labyrinth Day. Find your way…

While only weeks away, enthusiasm for this idea was so great that it was decided to move forward with beginning the event in 2009. Please check the World Labyrinth Day page for more information, ideas, and resources, as this new project is unfolding as ‘we speak’.

Much thanks is also due to the following TLS members whose input, ideas, and suggestions, are helping to launch this new event: Carol House, Cathy Proffitt, Connie Fenty, Cordelia Rose, Diane Terry-Kehner, Helen Drake, Jeff Saward, Joyce Rains, Judy Hopen, Kay Whipple, Lorraine Rodda, Lynda Tourloukis, Marilyn Lands, Mark Milligan, Nhys Glover, Randy Fillmore, Susan Sanborn, William Burlingame, and Wyn Flo.
