Fund Raising Goal: TLS DVD Spanish Translation Project

Did you know that TLS has launched its campaign to raise funds for the Spanish translation of our DVD, Labyrinths For our Times? This project begins our mission to extend support to the global community of Spanish-speaking labyrinth enthusiasts.

Our fundraising goal is $10,000. We have $400 in donations since beginning to advertise the project this year and are eager to see that total grow.

We’re ready for production: project bids have been received, the production company has been chosen, the script and DVD cover have been translated by two of our Spanish-speaking members, Ronald Esquivel and José Cuesta.

Ronald and Jose are just two of many Spanish-speaking people interested in labyrinths. TLS has members spread over 22 countries, including Costa Rica, Colombia, Mexico, the United States, and Spain. If you’ve visited the TLS Events Face Book page recently, you’ve seen that not all the posts are in English any longer. We have several Spanish-speaking members who contribute in their native language on a regular basis.

They are just a few of the over 400 million people who speak Spanish, making it second only to Mandarin in terms of its number of native speakers worldwide. 60 million people speak it as a second language, and 20 million students will learn it as a foreign language this year alone.

Imagine being able to reach this percentage of the world’s population effectively with information about the labyrinth! That vision is exactly what we’re eager to manifest. Consider what an impact it will have: an effective educational tool to spread the word about labyrinths beyond the English-speaking population, and a significant step furthering our mission to serve the global community.

Please donate toward realizing this incredible goal. To make a contribution, please follow the links to Donations found on the TLS website.
