Nancy Bandiera

Dr. Nancy Bandiera has enjoyed careers as a professional actor and teacher of communication, theatre, and performance studies. She teaches at The City University of New York (CUNY) LaGuardia Community College. She has also taught in universities and colleges in Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; and Charleston, SC. 

Nancy received her BA in English and Theatre from SUNY Albany; an MA in Applied Linguistics from UT Arlington; an MFA in Acting and Ph.D. in Communication Studies from UT Austin.

As a Veriditas certified labyrinth facilitator, Nancy’s particular line of research describes findings via grounded theory that contribute to the knowledge base about labyrinths, effects of liminalities, and how labyrinths contribute to wellness. She also researches methods for student engagement both in content areas and for extra-curricular projects. Labyrinths Pathways (9) includes Nancy’s article, My Experiment with the Labyrinth; The TLS Website also includes her doctoral dissertation on the labyrinth.
