Who We Are

Kelley Quinn

Publications Chair

Kelley K. Quinn is a labyrinth designer, community artist and Spanish teacher who works primarily with students ranging from preschool through college, and diverse members of the community, most of whom have limited art opportunities and experiences. She works in a variety of mediums including paint, paper, on-site material, found objects, semi-precious stones, smalti, ceramic materials and trash.

Her work incorporates natural elements, ancient traditional Native American, Hindu, and Tibetan and alchemical symbols to create meditative and artistic designs that speak across cultures, drawing us to our shared experiences of the world and our role in it.

Quinn has been designing large-scale labyrinths in a variety of mediums including paint, crushed brick and prairie grass for the past 15 years and has presented and hosted workshops, residencies, retreats and conferences where she has  shared her work with others. She has been a member of the Labyrinth Society since 2009.

Quinn lives with her her husband and two children in Macomb, Illinois where she spends her time teaching, creating and practicing community activism.
