Veriditas-style Chartres Labyrinth
Starting bid: $3,900.00
In 2000, David Gallagher purchased a 36′ Veriditas-style Chartres Labyrinth, signed by the maker. It was never used. He put it in a plastic tub and saved it for a future date, when he intended to give it to The Labyrinth Society as a gift. His intent was that we use it as a fundraiser.
That date came in 2023, when David, then Executive Director of The Labyrinth Society, was diagnosed with cancer. The labyrinth has been waiting for our new auction software to be tested and ready to use. In the meantime, it has been living in the home of one of our members, Chuck Hunner, in Ashville, North Carolina. The labyrinth survived the hurricanes that struck Asheville recently, with no damage. There are a couple minor spots (see Auction home page photos) from its time in the tub, but otherwise it is in great shape.
You can own a piece of Labyrinth History.
The Auction will start on November 11, at 3 PM ET. It will end at 9 PM ET on November 21. The labyrinth value was appraised at $4000. The Minimum bid is $3900.
The winner has to pick it up or pay for shipping.Â
