Reality Therapy and the Labyrinth: A Strategy for Practice

The paper reviews complementary and alternative practices and positions labyrinth work within this context. The literature review includes brief descriptions of reality therapy (RT) and the person-in-environment perspective, the history of the labyrinth, and uses of the labyrinth. The walking and finger types of labyrinths that are useful for therapy is discussed. The stages of labyrinth work in the context of RT are described and implications for the use of the labyrinth as an adjunctive method are explored.
