The Bibliography of Studies Related to Labyrinth Research (517K) includes 107 bibliographic citations and abstracts of labyrinth-related research studies and articles. This bibliography will be updated periodically as the Research Committee becomes aware of additional studies.

An article titled “Commonly Reported Effects of Labyrinth Walking” (2.84MB) was published in the July 2008 issue of Labyrinth Pathways. This article summarizes studies to the date of publication that report the effects of walking or otherwise interacting with a labyrinth on several physiological, psychological, and emotional variables. The most frequently researched topics have been the effects of walking or otherwise interacting with a labyrinth on stress and on relaxation.
The Labyrinth Walk Questionnaire and Instructions (44K) provide an easy way for any individuals who facilitate labyrinth events to contribute to the field of labyrinth research.
By including this questionnaire in your labyrinth events you will be assisting the Labyrinth Society in its ongoing efforts to collect data about labyrinths and the experiences of those who walk them. The questionnaire is non-intrusive. Participants are simply invited to complete the short questionnaire after they conclude a labyrinth walk.

As TLS members and others submit Labyrinth Walk Questionnaire data to TLS, these data are summarized and compiled on an ongoing basis.
The latest compilation of Labyrinth Walk Questionnaire data (50K) included here contains data from more than 500 respondents. Individuals are invited to use the Labyrinth Walk Questionnaire at their labyrinth events and submit the results for inclusion in this ongoing compilation.
