184 students at a regional, metropolitan university who were enrolled in a general health education course volunteered to participate in walking the outdoor campus labyrinth, an 11-circuit, brick paved medieval labyrinth. They completed the Labyrinth Walk Questionnaire. A majority of students reported increased peacefulness and relaxation, feeling less stressed, agitated, and anxious. The results of this study support that a single labyrinth walk can give students a time to relax and reflect while also improving feelings of stress and anxiety.
