A Walk on the Wild Side: Edible and Medicinal Plants

Limited to 15 participants
Saunter in the fields and woods to discover and identify edible and
medicinal plants growing wild in Arkansas. Sample prepared dishes of wild foods. Cover concepts of conservation, history and spirit of wild plants while walking on the wild side. Dress for outdoor trails and woods. Make a basic take-home wild salve.
Lou Ann Nolan is an accomplished teacher, coach, forager, gardener, herbalist, and cook! Her life, education and career is very diverse. She is passionate about all concepts of physical and spiritual life. She currently teaches Functional fitness and Tai chi at two Wellness Centers. Her foraging and food preservation classes are presented for Arkansas Game and Fish, Brightwater Culinary Institute, Arkansas Master Gardeners and local libraries. Lou Ann is an ordained minister of the Divine Healing Ministries, is a Eucharist minister and a Reiki Master. She lives in the Ozark Mountains with her husband, a menagerie of animals including her beloved horse, Camellia.
