Children Are the Seeds

The presentation will focus on fun and easy ideas to use when introducing the labyrinth to children and others new to the labyrinth. Participants will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of labyrinth art projects that are relatively inexpensive and easy to recreate. Other activities or learning tools will teach labyrinth typology, history, and use. Demonstrations of using seeds to draw labyrinths and finding the skeleton in the medieval labyrinths will add to your level of comfort when teaching others to draw labyrinths. Setting up walkable temporary labyrinths will complete the program.

The presentation will begin with a short introduction of the activities and give participants time to practice, create, and explore. Time permitting we will walk as a group and discuss the ways we can modify our adult experiences for the young people in our lives.
