Connecting through the Universal Languages of Laughter and Labyrinths: Weaving our Inner-nature and Community-nature with Nature

The primary focus is experiencing the three “Rs” (Release, Receive and Return) of a labyrinth walk in a co-creative, fun, and interactive way through the use of laughter.

This activity is best experienced with a large group of people. The results of group laughter are quite contagious with our brain’s mirror neurons benefiting everyone involved. It is also a fantastic way to ‘break the ice’ for new and returning TLS Gathering participants. Participants will learn seven laughter tones that each carry a different feeling and expression. Participants will experience deep breathing exercises that bring a present state of mind as well as playfulness that naturally promotes relaxation.

This session could be combined with the opening event for the TLS Gathering. A brief lecture explains the benefits of laughter and labyrinth meditation, with laughter exercises to connect participants quickly to follow. Then everyone would walk and laugh a labyrinth (either one that is taped, on a canvas or on an outside labyrinth) to the center and then back out. A circle after the experience will open up dialogue for what folks experienced and how it contrasts to a silent labyrinth walk. Also explore the benefits of adding a laughing labyrinth activity to deepen the power of labyrinths connecting with our inner nature with Nature.
