The article deals with the therapeutic use of labyrinth and the experience of the Mental Health Center of Madison County, Alabama on using it as part of their treatment program. According to the author, mental health clients cite the labyrinth as a major factor of their recovery, and health care professionals concluded that experiential and multi- sensory activities such as labyrinth course can have far more impact than talk therapy. The author claims that its use is especially effective in grief and loss, post traumatic stress disorder and sexual abuse.
