Explore ways to promote use of the labyrinth in diverse groups and settings. A variety of labyrinths which have been used with good acceptance in community, religious, retreat, and academic settings will be experienced and discussed. These include finger and walking labyrinths of various forms, complexity, and portability. The sample labyrinths have been well-received by people diverse in age, ethnicity, religious/non-religious affiliation, socioeconomic status, and education. They are readily affordable, usable, and reproducible for individuals and groups. The session will begin with participants choosing one sample labyrinth to try. A brief power point presentation on each will include cost, production, maintenance, and promotion considerations. Ways to encourage reverent and playful exploration with labyrinths using cross-cultural and interfaith language and media will be addressed. After the session, participants can each pick one sample labyrinth to take home and will be given access to download labyrinth files for future personal or professional use.
