End of the Year Message from the TLS President

Dear Labyrinth Friends and Supporters,

As the end of the year approaches, I want to take a few minutes and say thanks to all the amazing volunteers who help make the Labyrinth Society such a dynamic organization. We accomplished so much in 2022 thanks to your dedication and creativity. But of course, dedicated volunteers need support, so we also need to invest money in our various projects.

I’d like to ask for the help of everyone who is part of our community. Please consider donating money to support the work of our volunteers. Your donations help us fund a variety of incredible projects:

  • World Labyrinth Day is an annual event sponsored by The Labyrinth Society (TLS). Every year on the first Saturday in May thousands of people around the world participate in this moving meditation for world peace.
  • The Annual Gathering was held in person this year, at the Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. TLS members gathered to learn, connect with each other, hear from keynote speakers, participate in workshops, and to have fun!
  • TLS funds are being used to help support bringing the labyrinth to Rwanda through TLS Special Projects. Labyrinths are built, workshops are given, and programs are developed for schools, and much more through TLS Special Projects.
  • Facebook Group with almost 15,000 Members from more than 100 Countries. The Labyrinth Society's Global Group on Facebook continues to connect the worldwide labyrinth community with steady use throughout the year.
  • New in 2022–2023, TLS is offering Community Workshops designed to welcome, inform, and inspire. Hosted on Zoom, these workshops enable labyrinth enthusiasts to come together around an exciting array of topics through presentations, group discussions, and more for community, discovery, and transformation.

With your financial support we can continue the great work that we are doing to fulfill our mission, “to support all those who create, maintain and use labyrinths, and to serve the global community by providing education, networking and opportunities to experience transformation.” This mission has resonated with people from all walks of life and is reaching a global audience.

This year, because of a gift from an anonymous TLS member, the first $1500 of donations will be matched dollar for dollar. This generous gift gives us a fast start in our annual giving campaign. Donate as your means permit, but please donate. We hope that everyone in our community can participate in some way. Please click here.

In closing, let me offer my warm wishes to everyone. No matter where you are or what your traditions are, I wish you the best and offer a Happy New Year!

Sincerely,
Janice Lewis, President
