Group Dynamics: Incorporating the Labyrinth into Corporate Training Programs

Mindfulness is the new buzzword in corporate training because there is accepted research documenting its positive effects. This workshop, taught by a seasoned corporate trainer and labyrinth facilitator, will first review some of the recent research and literature that not only welcomes mindfulness practices for executives, but recommends them. The program will examine how to use the labyrinth to teach meditation techniques to new audiences.  This program will review labyrinth facilitation techniques for non-spiritual group environments. We will focus on the differences in culture and language that should be used in corporate and university training environments. Of particular note will be a focus on the history of the labyrinth and its universal appearance and acceptance in worldwide cultures.

The program will address both basic and advanced labyrinth facilitation with specific curriculum on how to guide participants who are new to introspection and spiritual connections. Participants will learn how their design of a corporate training program can affect and guide the behavior and learning of the attendees in a workshop. The group will experience other approaches to mindfulness including aromatherapy, Psychosynthesis techniques, and yoga.  This will be an interactive session in which all will walk the labyrinth and participate and contribute to the conversation. The ultimate goal is to help seminar attendees learn how to be comfortable managing corporate groups on the labyrinth while teaching their own unique approaches to creating a labyrinth experience.
