90 Minute Workshop
Enjoy an introduction to the Celestial Labyrinths and come prepared for some hands on creativity. Participants will practice drawing the labyrinths with the help of special seeds to create labyrinths that can be related to love and creation, energy, power, life and death, transformation, freedom, feelings, connections, and wisdom. Special keepsakes will be created with watercolors and inspiration.
Abstract
On display will be various Celestial Labyrinths I have created as well as some printed material. After a brief description of the City of Celestial Labyrinths in Croatia and possibly a short visit to the internet, we will explore these special patterns. The City of Celestial Labyrinths has nine beautiful labyrinths constructed of large white stones in a wooded park. They have been a project of Adrian Predrag Kezele, who has written the book LABYRINTHS and their Secrets. I will have prepared handouts of the seeds of the labyrinths and will demonstrate the drawing of the patterns. I will provide paper and writing/drawing materials and lead them in drawing each of the nine labyrinths. After each of the labyrinths are drawn we will finger walk the labyrinths, discuss the pattern, and have an opportunity to share briefly our reactions to them. We will take a few moments, listening to our inner selves. Then the participants will choose one of the labyrinths they are particularly drawn to and using watercolors and oil pastels create a personal keepsake. After our creations are complete, we will have a “gallery walk” around the room or a show and tell of our works.
