Making Peace with Our Time: Following Our Bliss With Laughter and Labyrinths

Life is like a labyrinth: always guiding, yet unpredictable… our way changes constantly, but we are always on the right path. With so much uncertainty how can we live our Time in Peace? I wish to share two meditation modalities that work well together, to let go and let in… increasing a sense of Peace. Peace is practicing the art of following our Bliss. Laughter meditation added to labyrinth walking is a powerful way to make Peace with your Time and make Time for Peace. I will share the benefits of laughter meditation for well-being and how it profoundly increases our feel-good hormones. Then we will practice laughter and breathing exercises while finger-tracing a Labyrinth. This is a beautiful and effective personal practice for attendees to take home. We will also explore an interactive exercise of setting intentions, imagining dreams ‘as if they are,’ and inviting possibilities through curiosity questions, as we walk/laugh a labyrinth. The collaboration between participants is bodacious, fun and energetic, which radically contrasts the typical silent, introspective labyrinth walk. It offers an opportunity to explore sacred labyrinths as a blissful and meaningful way to promote Peace. This activity can be included as a wonderful addition to celebrations and activities or as a unique event all on its own, using permanent or temporary labyrinths. I will share my experience with such events that invite diverse communities, such as schools, Tribal Nations, government agencies and spiritual congregations to powerfully bring people together, walking and laughing in Peace.
