Mini Session
Abstract
This Mini-Session primarily focuses on providing session participants with the seed of an idea on how to get more liminal space, i.e. labyrinths, into our daily lives. The session is an information and idea based lecture/discussion. I will give participants ideas, templates, and resources helpful in inspiring folks to purse this liminal space challenge back in their own communities. My intent is to present an idea using the What. Where. Why. How. format in a condensed, information filled, do-it-yourself info commercial of sorts. Through information sharing from lecture/discussion and handouts, participants will become better equipped with the tools necessary to help them conceive and carry out temporary labyrinth installations in public places in their own communities. My hope is that participants will leave energized and educated and ready to implement this fun experiential art challenge. And, that the public will stumble across the thresholds we build and into a place of personal and global discovery and revelation.
