2009 Annual Pre-Gathering Workshops and Post-Gathering Activities

Our three Featured Presenters for the 2009 Annual Gathering will each be offering a pre-Gathering workshop wherein we will have an opportunity to mingle and explore together. Ronald Esquivel of Costa Rica will offer a three-hour workshop on Thursday morning, entitled “Feel the Energy of Sacred Geometry.” Lea Goode-Harris will offer a three-hour workshop on Thursday afternoon, entitled “Creating a Poetree Labyrinth to Express the Spirit of the Seasons”, wherein participants will co-create an artwork of poetry and painting that will be included at the Silent Auction. Plan to arrive on Wednesday to partake in a public creative experiential evening with artist Jim Buchanan of Scotland, on Wednesday evening in downtown Portland. More information about these pre-Gathering activities can be found on the Gathering pages of the TLS website.

If you’d like to extend your time in the company of fellow TLS members and labyrinthians, plan to stay after the Saturday noon closing. Returning by popular demand, Lisa Moriarty and Kimberly Saward will again offer their sell-out workshop, “Creating Your Personal Prayer Labyrinth,” a creative experience in which participants paint their own five-foot canvas labyrinth. Not feeling creative? Then consider spending Saturday afternoon on a sightseeing tour of the natural wonders and beauty along the scenic Columbia River Gorge, with a dinner stop at the historic Multnomah Falls Lodge. On Sunday, a day-long bus tour of labyrinths in the Portland area is planned. More information about these post-Gathering activities can be found on the Gathering pages of the TLS website.
