At least four times a year, TLS members are rewarded at their inboxes with a copy of the Labyrinth Society e-newsletter. It serves as a means of direct communication with the membership and provides an historical record of the Society.

Get Ready for the Silent Auction

One of the most eagerly anticipated events at each year's Annual Gathering is the Silent Auction. Members of TLS donate all kinds of items, anything from art work, finger labyrinths in every possible medium (remember Hallie Sawyers' beautiful felted ones?), author-signed books, choice vacation accommodations, pickles, clothing, and jewelry, to services such as readings, help with building a labyrinth, even massages. These items do NOT have to be labyrinth-specific, though they often are. The display is most impressive! The creativity and generosity of TLS members is really something to behold, and you do not have to attend the gathering to donate.

As closing time for bids counts down (10! 9! 8!...), it is great fun to watch people checking, rechecking, and increasing bids until the final call. The timer buzzes ... gleeful shouts erupt around the room as winners collect their prizes, losers commiserate, donors glow with satisfaction.

The funds raised from the Silent Auction are used exclusively as scholarship money for the next year's Gathering, helping individuals who would not otherwise be able to attend.

The auction is made possible by you, our creative, generous members, so don't be shy! To donate an item, bring it to the Gathering and look for me, Dan Raven (the old hippie, beard and pony tail) the first day. Members who would like to donate, but will be unable to attend the gathering, please contact me and we can talk about how to do it.
