Labyrinths for Global Healing, Landscapes for the Soul:
Call for Gathering Workshop and Poster Presenters Closes March 1, 2013The call for workshops, lectures and poster presentations for this year’s Gathering, Labyrinths for Global Healing, Landscapes for the Soul, will close on March 1, 2013. We are delighted that members are submitting presentations for this year’s event, which is being held at Tigh-Na-Mara Spa Resort & Conference Center on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, September 17 - 22.
This is the second year of working with our newly developed proposal form and the additional presentation option of posters. We have fine-tuned the blind review process that was instituted last year, making it more user-friendly for both members and the selection team who will be reviewing the proposals. We anticipate smooth sailing for all concerned.
If you are considering submitting a proposal, please visit the 2013 Gathering Call for Presentations web page for additional details regarding these updates. Be sure to submit your presentation proposals for review by the March 1, 2013 deadline. We hope you’ll join us in September to enjoy the Gathering, explore beautiful Vancouver Island, and learn more about what’s going on in the world of labyrinths.

The Planning team has created a Gathering Events page on Facebook, where you can indicate whether you'll be attending, and see who else is going to be there. Note: you'll need to become a member of the group page to informally RSVP for the Facebook event.
The team has also provided a link to Beth Ross's visual tour of some of the 50+ labyrinths on Vancouver Island to publicise the 15th Annual Gathering, with preliminary events in Victoria, B.C. September 16th and 17th, then on to the Cowichan Valley on the 17th and 18th, and up to Parksville for the gathering itself from the 19th through the 21st at Tigh-Na-Mara Spa Resort.
If you've never been to Vancouver Island, you are in for a wonderful experience, starting with the ferry from the mainland if you choose that route. (Yes, it does look a little like a maze... you can get a flight to the 2013 Gathering if you'd prefer)
Spectacular BC landscape, historical Vancouver Island towns and cities, (don't miss the world famous Butchart Gardens just outside Victoria), fascinating museums (including the Royal BC Museum, the Maritime Museum of British Columbia, and the house where artist and writer Emily Carr grew up), a dynamic aboriginal presence (get acquainted with the richness of NW coastal aboriginal culture at the UNESCO World Heritage site on the northern islands of Haida Gwaii): what's not to love about Vancouver Island? So make your plans, tell your friends and enjoy the anticipation!
