We will discuss why I believe the design of the surrounding environment is more important than the labyrinth itself. What are the essential features we need to incorporate into the surrounding space to create a sanctuary-like setting that will support the most meaningful experiences in labyrinths? How can we create a sense of containment that helps us focus and not be distracted? We will learn how to determine the most auspicious location, size, orientation, and other important elements to be able to create the most conducive settings for labyrinths that enhance the beneficial effects of walking them.
