Who We Are

Carmel Stabley

Regional Reps Coordinator

In 2010 Carmel Stabley walked her first steps on the 11 circuit path, and although that first walk was frustrating on some levels, the truthful encounter began a journey that has continued to deepen and bring much fulfillment to her relationship with God and others.

Now serving as a Certified Labyrinth Facilitator with training through Veriditas in Chartres, France, as well as labyrinth tours and pilgrimages in Sweden, Spain, and Iona, Carmel hosts monthly walks in Lancaster, Pa. and the surrounding area.  She is the originator of the Labyrinth Connection of Susquehanna Valley, a group of walkers with a newsletter and Facebook page by the same name that connects walkers to events in Pennsylvania. She is also a Certified Contemplative Leader, a Reiki Practitioner, and is perusing the Veriditas Advanced Certification.

A graduate of Faith School of Theology Charleston, Maine, Carmel holds a Bachelor in Theological Studies with a minor in Pastoral Theology Cum Laude.  Ms. Stabley also serves at the Hempfield United Methodist Church Stony Battery Road Lancaster, Pa. as a Retreat Planner, Spiritual Formation Leader, and Steward of the Prayer Chapel. Through silence and solitude her personal Centering Prayer ( meditative prayer ) and labyrinth practice have guided her to service in these and other areas such as Prayer Companioning .

Employed by Clipper Magazine (a Harlan – Clarke Company),  her award winning career in marketing and advertizing spans over 25 years.  Her skills and nature toward loyalty and achievement will serve our TLS community.

Yoga, gardening, reading , Dream Work, and being a walking member of The Lancaster Road Runners Club are hobbies when Carmel is not with her children, grandchildren, and friends.
